hot hot weather. Another 5 weeks of work, not getting any break in between before uni starts. Been workin 3 days after my final paper ended, till the end of the first week of uni. That's 15 weeks in total! Have to save up for secret missions.

dozzing off quite a few times at work lately. Just need a break of my own, going to beach to catch some heat, and relaxing in front of the tv watching dvd. Apparently, my colleagues told me it is normal, but try not to do so during meeting. I mean, meeting is good - you get to take a break off your work, listen to what others have to say, talk a bit about what you think, get to drink a bit with free snacks and lunches sometimes - BUT NO DOZZING OFF TO FAIRY LANE, which can be quite hard to achieve if the meeting is long enough to make you sleep. Gotta get used to it!

I found it extremely hard to put up with activities after working hours. It is not easy, and you will ended up dead tired the next day at work. So guys, sorry - dun think i can put up too much to extra co-curriculum. I tried, but it just wont work.

His word for me today: learn to love His people, and put up with their personalities and characters the way He put up with mine. Let those who offend, irritate, judge, hate, dislike or critisize you be loved the way God love me regardless of endless times when i disappoint Him and disregard His commands.

suppose to be super charged up after the long weekend. ended up having backache and muscle pains, plus slight flu and painful eyes.

thanks to Yoko Yoko. never fails to defeat muscle pains and backaches. how can i possibly survive without you?

bringing the kids to beach later after work. just want to dip myself down in the cold water. nice weather, nice beach..but where's the woman!? hehe

went down mandurah and managed to do a bit of water sports - non-directional swimming and kayaking. since we only had one kayak for the 7 of us, we had fun overturning those who were kayaking the one and only kayak.

monday is always the worst day of the week, dun u think? hehe

i realised that if i wake up every morning at the same time, have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time daily, go to bed at the same time every night...my shit will come out at the same time as well.

For the past 1 month, i have been bombing the office toilet at 1pm everyday - weekdays of course. I will bomb the one at home on weekends. And since i eat a lot everyday, the amount of shit is huge. Now that my colleagues know about this trend, they will even remind me to go to toilet at 1pm daily. How kind...they just want to have a good laugh.

I just realised that I missed my cousin's birthday and he is extremely angry! I tell you...I am so scared until I had to rush down to city just now to buy him his book - and courier it to him immediately. If not he will have the tendency to kill me. He is 8 years younger than me, but he is as tall as I am. So i guess I better not piss him off hehe.

Got my pay today. Everyone got their pay today actually, and so blessed that I have more than what were promised when I signed the job contract. And after doing all the normal marine review letters and verification works and procedures check, I am finally been involved totally into two major projects which were won recently - the bhp and woodside energy projects. So this will definitely look good in my resume next time. I am currently doing some standard calculations before moving into designing their offshore platforms and transportation methods. Everyone looks pretty stress because the timeline is short and the budget is real tight. But the reward is huge, and my boss promises us that we will get a portion of it as our incentive! hoooo!

Learned not only engineering applications in industry, but i also learned a lot of things from people here - i learned a lot about taxes, and interviews information and so on. And I believe this will really help me to associate all these to the people out there - to serve His people through the knowledge that I have. I am truly blessed by people around who are so willing to teach and answer my silly questions. Be blessed to be a blessing. I found joy working here, although I am the second asian working here. People are fun to joke with. Boss is very generous and encouraging. And I can even dress casual to work if there is not meeting! Unbelievable but I know its all from God.

Been pretty interested in kites lately. Wanted to make one but i have to search for the materials in subi this weekend. Then i can fly one at the beach since the wind these days are strong! Anyway, long weekend ahead! HOOOOOOO! I shall get to enjoy this one for sure!

I watched Eight Below last night. Truly a superb movie for dog lovers out there. It reminds me of my dogs back home. I used to have a few german shepherds at home when I was young. We started off with 2, given by one of my dad's friend whose dogs reproduced too much until he had to give out a few. We took 2, one male and female - Rascal and Pretty. Both of them were beautiful - totally white and they were very smart. They even start to reproduce after one year or so hehe.
Our family - we are all dog lovers. It came from the gene i guess. My grandpa loved dogs too - brown ones especially. My dog was house-trained by my dad. It could fetch the newspaper every morning and put it right in front of the door. This is particular useful when it comes to rainy days. Not only that - my Rascal had helped the neighbour to kill a snake and survived the snake's poison bite. It scared away a thief once who tried to climb into our house compound. Rascal was faithful - always ran straight to me when he saw me walking back from school. It served us well. He died of heart attack after 10 years.

I did not have a soft copy of his picture since last time we dun even have a digital camera. But have a few hardcopies back home. This is how a german shepherd looks like (most top picture). I promise myself that i will get one here once i can afford to.
Unlike cats, dogs can identify its owner - and communicate with them. Dogs are helpful animals, except those tiny little dogs or fierce killer dogs. A faithful servant, an ultimate companion. Lets agree that cats are useless. I dun like cats at all.

requires 12 weeks work experience to fulfill one of the requirements for my course.

9th week this week (or if you deduct the christmas break week, this would be the 8th week - but i was paid for that christmas break week, so it should be counted i think). Just need to work another 3 more weeks but my boss had voiced out his desire to hire me as long as possible, until 2nd of March. That's 15 weeks altogether! Having to skip uni for a week but getting paid - which is the important point, so i dun mind either.

how i wish i can just work continuously without dragging my feet back to uni. You know, you get paid for working, but i have to pay to go to uni. That dream house, dream car, dream woman...everything seems to be closer if you start to work. One of my colleagues who just graduated 2 years ago revealed his annual salary to me and I was like - "wow, for doing these sort of things which are quite similar to uni assignments, you must be filthy rich".

Again, His grace is required to complete the studies and drill myself into a job which pays well.

Been trying to survive with 20 bucks per week.

That is two lunches/dinners per week outside. This is the third week, and I am still surviving i guess.

20 bucks per week means when you see mcdonalds just around your footstep, you have to say no and keep walking - when you smell that double layer whatever new burger from hungry jack, you gotta stop breathing - when your colleague is eating that delicious KFC lunch pack, you have to avoid him/her because the desires will kill you straight away - surfing through ebay and found that batman shirt for only 20 bucks but you have to close the browser to avoid temptation - have to transfer all remainings in saving accounts into the power saver account and thats it, stop logging into the internet banking and let the money stays there as long as possible.

Never mind. I have to save for my mid-year and year end holidays. Also, not to drive to work although there is one parking space for me since my colleague will be on site until end of the month. Taking a bus will save me on petrol - which i dun have to pump so often these day.

Speaking of which, taking a bus can be quite annoying considering the fact that some passengers can be very irritating. Some not-to-do in a bus

TURN on the volume to the max of your mp3 player. I mean, if you want to do it elsewhere, be my guest. But not on the bus when there are people around - be more considerate please. And also, stop repeating the song!

TALK loudly as if this is your private soundproof living room. Moderate voice is acceptable, but not as in talking to your friend who sits 10 rows ahead of you. And sometimes people can even smell your bad breath. Noise pollution can be worst than air pollution, you know that? I aint paying to listen to all these.

PUSHING around behind the back seats. It's just annoying. Please behave like a human being.

PLAYING with mobile phone ringtones. I mean, who are you trying to impress? Most people these days have more than one mobile phones, so you aint impressing anyone alright? Beat it.

STANDING when there are plenty of seats available. Please take a seat and make yourself comfortable. You are blocking the way!

PUTTING your bag on one seat when the bus is packed. Your bag aint paying any fares, so just sit inside and let others have the chance to seat! This is extremely annoying ok?

SITTING on the priority seats. I mean, if you want to sit there, it's perfectly ok. But do watch out for people who need the seats more than you do. Be more alert and sensitive since you are sitting there, there are pregnant women around you know! Dont sit there like some mechanical object.

STANDING still like some robots. People need to get onto the bus for work as well. Please move to the back in order for more people to be able to get onto the bus. Don't stand there like a statue, expecting people to walk pass your butt to get to the back. Sometimes people have to stand so front ahead because of you refusing to move. That can be quite dangerous, you know?

Anyway, server's back online. So have to resume work. Heaps of do for this month!

i shit once everyday

and the time frame is always between 12pm to 1pm

thats mean...i always bomb the toilet in the office during lunch break

hehe

this year is going to be EXCITING, in which i will be travelling twice - mid and end of the year. Might be going to Singapore or Sydney middle of the year, and going back with adeline to Sabah by the end of the year and also to Tokyo or Seoul if possible.

have to save up some money now. Hehe..and hopefully I can secure a job immediately after i graduate, so that it can contribute a bit into my travel funds for the christmas. Trust Him for He never fails to deliver.

boss coming back tomorrow. hopefully he has something for me, coz i asked for something from him the other day on the phone hehe. journey mercy for him and the family.

came across this website which has heaps of informations about flying. It is owned by a retired malaysia airlines B777-200ER pilot - captain lim. Thought it would be interesting to know a bit about flying - where is the best seat for the least turbulence effect, engine specifications and details, pilot salary range for different airliners, and so on. I was searching through for this sort of webpage, but in regards to vessels and submarines when i came across this one. Pretty interesting though.

daily life routine has been real fixed.

wake up at 630, take a bus at 740, breakfast at 9, lunch at 1, take a bus back home at 5, dinner at 8, relax a while before heading off to bed at 1030.

server's down today in the office. Someone gotta do something about this thing. So unreliable, and now i am stucked here with absolutely nothing to do - everyone's been waiting for the repair person to come and fix it. Oh well, some are seen playing nintendo Wii here, some off to nowhere, some sleeping, some watching you-tube, some singing horribly in the kitchen, some watching cartoons off the net.

slacking. but oh well, got paid for doing nothing, so better dun complaint so much.

gotta do some sports. been having this real big belly which my colleagues refused to believe that it has nothing to do with alcohol. The amount of food I can take is beyond what you can imagine a person of my size could take. I remembered when I went back Kuching end of last year and I went for buffet with my cousin who eats as much as I do, maybe more. The amount of food we took triggered the manager to approach us and told us that we should leave because we had gone past the 2 hours limit. But last time my figure wasn't that bad due to me being consistent in doing sports - i swam 5 times a week, played badminton regularly, and jogged twice a week for 5km from my house to the town and back.

Now, my commitment to sports is zero. Have not been doing any sports for the past 1 year after I quit Fitness First a year ago. So now, I am going to work out a fitness plan to destroy the belly that I have.

I will swim twice a week for an hour non-stop
I will jog twice a week for 3 km non-stop
I will play badminton once a week, sunday evening
I will play CS once a week, sunday afternoon

Play CS to exercise my fingers la...hehe. MUST exercise...I MUST!

The past 2006 was really a huge challenge for me. A lot of memories, went through couple of hardships, struggled a bit with studies, took up a lot of new responsibilities, and so on.

2006 was the year when I stepped into fourth year in uni. Things were hard, having to cope up with something I never even dare to go into was a huge challenge for me. I always wanted to study Oil and Gas Engineering as a general without even dare to incorporate any particular field. I presumed that this would be the easiest way to end my uni. But God has better plan for me. I prayed and He suggested that I should give it a go - into the field of marine engineering - becoming what we called a naval architect - which a lot of my coursemates DID NOT dare to give it a shot. You see, I had absolutely no idea about ships - i mean, i would love to own a boat - because I like to fish. But ship building those kind of stuffs...hmm sounds tough. But God has always put people around me to help me, guide me - my coursemates, my friends, my cell members who are always there to support and guide me. And somehow rather, I managed to pull through this year with absolutely no sweat. Really want to thank God for that, for I know all these knowledges belong to Him, not me.

2006 was also the year when I took up usher leading - a privilege to serve the congregation of UWA and sometimes the whole church. Usher leading was also something new for me, considering the fact that I was very impatient, very harsh and firm in my own ways of doing things. But God gave me this opportunity not so that I can practice all these skills onto my people, but more on learning to accept each others' differences and work together as a team. I learned to serve not only God, but my ushers, people around me. I also learned that I could always learn from people around me, especially my fellow ushers who served as hard as I did. ALl glory goes to God.

Took up cell leading was also one of the key agenda of the year. Things changed - I had to take care of people, not being the one taken care of. And I really enjoyed doing it because I see this as a privilege given by God, for me to take care of His sheeps. And the outcome of this was simple - I learned to love His people like how God loves me. I also learned a lot of things from my cell members - and I am open to prayers from them, giving every opportunities for them to serve the Lord and be a leader among themselves. Being proud of them for the spiritual growth and the bonding.

2006 was also the year when I found "her" - the woman behind the scene of my life. The one who is always there to support me. The one who is always back there praying for me. The one whom I could approach when I needed some encouragements. She is awesome, beautiful, plays the keys (hehe VERY ATTRACTED to that btw), spiritually stable. She is my helper, my trusted banker. She never leaves me behind, being so patient and always put efforts in cooking for me. True blessing from heaven. I thank God for her.

And also a year when I found a job vacation. Such good timing - within such tight period of time. Along the way, God tested a lot of my faith, but I eventually reached the time when God just opened the door and I managed to secure a 3 months internship job to fulfill my degree. Not only that - but God gave me even more. A well paid work experience in a nice engineering firm with an international marine engineering company where I can click along VERY WELL with the people there. Having an english boss with all the british ascents - hmm that is pretty funny btw. Just want to thank Him for all the efforts in finding the right job for me. Really love this job very much.

Oh well, end of the old 2006. Hope for more from God. I believe as long as I walk closer to Him, He will deliver me in the way that He had planned earlier. Thank You.

dragging myself off the bed every morning. My 10 days break ended when i started to resume work on the 2nd. Office been very quiet, with only a few of us working. Heaps of them are still on holidays, while some are working on site.

Been slacking a lot since my boss is still on holidays in the UK. Coming to work on time and left early. A few of them went off to play golf early today, but i have to stay in office to gain my working hours.

Receptionist's mobile phone been stolen yesterday. After a long discussion, we concluded that there must be someone coming into the office during lunchbreak and stole her phone. There were only a few of us in the office, and except the receptionist, the rest of us are all engineers, so we believe that neither of us are capable of committing such minor crime. Also, there were no contractors reporting in yesterday, so now have to be very careful with my belongings - hopefully nothing will happen since my desk is far away from where the main entrance is.

Haven't been driving my car since tuesday. But i did start it every day so that the battery wont run dead. Oh and recently, i did a lot of shopping off ebay.

Bought these stuffs after spying on ebay for the past 2 weeks:

A new digital camera for AD$441 altogether (RRP AD$649)
Canon IXUS 800IS with 3 years limited warranty.

A new 1GB Mini SD card for AD$34.75 altogether with 1 year warranty
**For adeline's nokia 6280 since she always complaint about not having enough space to save her never-ending TONNES of datas

A new 1GB SanDisk SD card for AD$24.99 altogether with 5 years limited warranty
**For my new camera which comes with 16MB SD card only

Last month, i bought all these after spying on ebay for almost 1 year:

A new 320GB external hard disk with casing and connections
AD$159 altogether with 2 years warranty

Samsung car charger (new) for AD$0.99 + AD$4.99 shipping. 1 year warranty

After buying all the above stuffs which i need + paying all the debts that i owe to God, i am left with a tiny bit of money to survive for this month. Next pay will be in 3 weeks, and for the next 2 pays, i will have to save them!!

NO MORE EBAY FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS!

But come to think of it seriously, i do need the camera to ease my work, esp when i have to take photos of structures of ships and loading conditions when i go on site. Also, the charger is useful and comes in handy. Only the external HDD is considered an extra because it only fits in saving my downloaded movies and series. And somemore its a great deal and i wont want to miss it. ARGH.

SIEN. Looking forward to no holidays, hectic weeks ahead as big projects are coming in real tight starting next week.
